Biography Of Fred Taylor

 

Fred Taylor born in Lake city Florida, he then moved on t o Daytona Beach Florida, Fred continued High School then he moved on to Brooklyn New York in 1960 he then met Louis Armstrong who was a piano player, they then introduce themselves. Louis Armstrong then formed a band with Fred Taylor, Fred and Louis played at the Else Hall in Brooklyn, on Classon and Fulton, after 4 years. Fred and Fingers started their own band that last for five years, after Fingers retired, Fred took a retirement for 10 years, being the great creator Fred was, later on Fred changed his name to Sticks because of his dynamic talent playing the drums, he then changed his name to Sticky Boy, which he began his Production company.  Sticks went on to his new Production company, which he was influence by Barry Gordon.  Sticks went to produce his master peaces, he produce singers, Jean Waiters, Black Velvet, Judy Brown, Melvin Williams, Silver Fox, Tommy Night.

Fred "Sticky Boy" Taylor is the President and CEO of Brooklyn NY- based Sticky Boy Records. Sticky Boy Records has 20 artists including Judy Brown Eyes, Tommy Knight, and the incomparable Earl Dugger. For those of you interested in the Brooklyn NY blues sound, listen to this record. Chicago used to be the home of the blues, but that was before Sticky Boy Records hit the scene.
